Assistant Commissioner Brown has had a 36-year career with the RCMP, where he has been the commanding officer for J Division (New Brunswick) since 2013, after being transferred from Regina, where he was serving as the commanding officer of the RCMP Academy (Depot Division). Since 2013, Brown has dealt with two major incidents: the shale gas protests near Rexton, and the murders of three members of the Codiac detachment in Moncton. He brings his experience and story of resiliency to the conference.
